For more than one type of 'BUSH'

I use the Soothing Serum for my chin. I must get waxed at least every three weeks. Before I started this regimen, I was shaving every three days. It took a toll on my skin. It was blotchy, and ingrown hairs was a problem. My esthetician recommended the Serum, and lives up to it's name. It is soothing, it has lightened up the area, and I seldom have those stubborn ingrown hairs now. Thanks Bush Balm!

    Thoughtful Formula and Design

I just added the roller rescue serum to my post-shower routine and I have to say the results were near instant. My skin is noticeably smoother and softer, and my ingrowns have been at an all-time low. Not only that, but the design is so smart and intentional. It’s compact so it’s perfect for travel, and it has a detachable roller head with a replaceable container, so you can just buy refills and keep your roller head. It’s more sustainable and sensible that way, I feel. I’ve struggled with ingrowns throughout my entire life since puberty, and had countless healthcare professionals poke and prod at them, tell me they have to go away on their own, and then charge a copay for saying there’s nothing they can do. I was so embarrassed about it that seeking help started to feel impossible. It is refreshing to see results after taking matters into my own hands. I’m thankful to BushBalm for giving me the confidence I thought was out of reach.

    Sooooo good!

The “soothing” part of this product name is extremely accurate. This has been super helpful when ingrown hairs are flaring. My armpits thank you for your service

Frequently Asked Questions

Chemical exfoliants are skincare products that use acids or enzymes to dissolve and remove dead skin cells. On the other hand, physical exfoliants contain granules, beads or particles to scrub away dead skin cells.

Our scrubs are considered physical, with the sugar serving as the exfoliant. The Roller Rescue Soothing Serum is a chemical exfoliant in which the AHA and BHA act as exfoliants.

Yes, we created the Roller Rescue to be safe on sensitive skin. However, we recommend a routine that helps build up tolerance over time.

Yes, but we recommend waiting 24 hours because these acids can irritate freshly treated or sensitive skin. Waxing and shaving both involve the removal of the top layer of skin cells, which can leave the skin more vulnerable and exposed. This allows the skin to heal and reduces the risk of adverse reactions.

AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) are both chemical exfoliants that work by breaking down the bonds between dead skin cells, leading to their removal and revealing fresher, smoother skin underneath.

AHA: Derived from natural sources like fruits. Glycolic Acid is water-soluble from sugarcane and primarily works on the skin surface to exfoliate dead skin cells, promote cell turnover and help improve skin texture and tone. BHA: Derived from salicylic compounds, a lab-made version of the naturally occurring substances in plants like willow bark. Oil-soluble, can penetrate into the pores and work both on the skin's surface and inside the pores which is excellent for those ingrown hairs as it helps unclog pores and reduce breakouts.

It can help, but it takes time and consistent use to see visible results. Patience is key when using AHA/BHA for dark spots, as the gradual exfoliation and skin renewal process occurs.

AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) are generally safe for daily use in your skincare routine. However, it’s essential to consider your skin type and sensitivity. If you’re new to using AHA and BHA products or have sensitive skin, it’s a good idea to ease into it slowly (e.g., a few times a week) and gradually increase as your skin becomes accustomed to them. Always use sunscreen when using these acids during the day in areas exposed, as they can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
