Everything You Want To Know About Cellulite

Cellulite is nothing to feel ashamed or embarrassed about because it’s a normal part of the human body. Up to about 80% of women have cellulite. Cellulite can appear anywhere on your body, however, it’s most common around the tush, thighs, and stomach area. Whether you love it, hate it, embrace it or you are trying to get rid of it, remember it’s your body, and only your opinion matters. For myself, I have cellulite and stretch marks on my hips, down my thighs, and on my tush. As I’ve gotten older I’ve accepted it and to be honest it doesn’t bother me anymore. That said - I’m all for trying new things that can help smoothen skin and make my cellulite appear less bumpy. With that said, let’s dive into all things cellulite.

What is Cellulite?

Let’s break it down. The external presentation of cellulite on the body can appear as lumps, dimples, or uneven surfaces. The lumps and bumps form from fat cells beneath your skin. A quick side note, everyone has these fat cells no matter what body shape or type you are.

Under your skin, you have these fibrous connective cords that connect the skin to underlying muscles. In between these cords, there are fat cells. As the fat cells accumulate, they push up against the fibrous connective cords which you guessed, results in cellulite.

How to reduce the appearance of cellulite?

Again, there is nothing wrong with having it, loving it, or wanting to get rid of it. You should do whatever makes YOU feel good about your body. The look of cellulite can be so unsatisfying for some women. If you are anything like me, I am always looking for ways to reduce the appearance of cellulite on my body. Although there is no real way to eliminate cellulite completely, here are some tips and products to help reduce the appearance.

Nordic Dry Brush

Dry brushing has many benefits for your skin. Dry brushing can help improve circulation, removing dead skin cells, and visibly reduces the appearance of cellulite. With a regular dry brushing routine, we recommend 2-3 times a week, your skin will appear smoother and firmer which helps reduce the appearance of cellulite on your body.

Sweet Escape Exfoliating Scrub:

This all-natural sugar scrub helps remove dead skin cells, softens skin naturally, and exfoliates which helps make cellulite less apparent. The Sweet Escape exfoliating scrub can be used all over your body and leaves your skin texture and tone feeling very soft and smooth through natural exfoliation. And a bonus it smells like tangerine and vanilla – yum!

Tush:

Moisturizing is an important step in any skincare routine. Moisturizing daily can improve the look of your skin, leaving it feeling smoother and minimizing the appearance of cellulite. Skin firming and tightening cream can help reduce the appearance of cellulite, leave your skin feeling perky and plum, as well as nourish the skin.
