As seen on Dragons’ Den, Bushbalm Skincare is a thriving direct to consumer brand in the skincare industry. As a Marketing Coordinator you will work directly with the Director of Brand & Marketing. In this role you’ll work on marketing campaigns, expand and maintain marketing channels, as well assist in several administrative capacities.

Responsibilities:

  • - Assist in writing media announcements, pitches, launches, and press releases.
  • - Assist with social media content creation and strategy.
  • - Provide assistance with the company's PR strategy and brand mission.
  • - Assist with Facebook advertising strategy.
  • - Assistant in product launches.
  • - Manage and update media and influencer databases.
  • - Conduct research and perform market analysis.
  • - Complete administrative duties.
  • - Assist with influencer outreach and gifting.
  • - Create and edit blogs.
  • - Create copy for the website.
  • - Conduct biweekly reporting on all PR and influencer efforts.

Marketing Coordinator - Paid Media (OPEN)

Location: Ottawa

Bushbalm Skincare is a thriving DTC brand in the skincare industry. As a junior designer you’ll work directly with the CEO and Director of Brand & Marketing to create digital ads (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc), email templates, and many other design assets.

Responsibilities:

  • - Meet weekly on advertising performance to understand what ads you are required to build
  • - Delivery weekly ad concepts, so the team can implement
  • - Create and launch weekly email templates
  • - Create and upload video assets to Youtube
  • - Work on all aspects of our website, including images and videos.
  • - Assist the team in design of brochures and print material.

About This Role:

Our team is growing very fast and we are constantly working on new digital assets for our social media, ad campaigns, website, and email marketing. The main structure of this role will be having a weekly meeting, to give you direction on what to design. The following week we will meet and implement your designs. Then repeat and iterate.

  • - You must be creative (weekly ad iterations are fun, but hard)
  • - You must be able to take feedback, as sometimes ‘beautiful designs’ don’t convert, so iterations are frequent and often.

Retention Marketing Strategist (OPEN)

The Retention Marketing Strategist collaborates closely with the CEO and Director of Marketing to innovate and bring to life a variety of owned channels of email, SMS and push notifications. You believe in the power of retention to tell brand stories and help customers purchase the products they want, when they need them. A genuine desire to provide an amazing customer experience is essential for your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • - Brief writing, content strategies, calendaring, and creative review/feedback for identified campiagns
  • - Foster and maintain relationships to manage campaign planning and execution in a fast-paced environment (things change fast at Bushbalm)
  • - Maintain a keen eye on efficiency in campaign planning; whenever possible you advocate for dynamic content, automation, personalization and triggered experiences.
  • - Report and provide analysis on Email & SMS KPIs; implement optimizations; communicate results to stakeholders in a digestible and timely manner.
  • - Work with the team to consistently improve guest experience and channel performance by crafting A/B tests.
  • - Advocate for channel best practices with an eye for scalable efficiency and automation.

Role Requirements

  • - As a skincare company you must be passionate about the industry.
  • - 3+ years of experience in retention marketing in owned channels e.g. email and push notifications. - Prior experience with Klaviyo.
  • - Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but not required.
  • - Ability to create compelling personas.
  • - Excellent brief-writing skills and experience partnering successfully with Creative teams.
  • - Working knowledge of lifecycle-campaign concepting and management.
  • - Foundational understanding of automation and dynamic content, with desire to grow.

Operations Specialist (OPEN)

At Bushbalm Skincare our obsession with solution focussed products is what drives our business forward. As an Operations Specialist you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations that help deliver these products to our customer base. This will include stock and resource management, coordinating with our manufacturing and 3PL partners, and helping facilitate product development and roadmapping.

Responsibilities:

  • - Work with our 3PL partners to ensure stock is always available, including helping coordinate incoming and outgoing finished goods and raw parts from our warehouses, cosmetic manufacturers, and fulfillment partners.
  • - Communicate restock and new product launch manufacturing timelines with internal stakeholders
  • - Forecasting and resource management
  • - Participate in the process of onboarding retail partners and fulfilling large retail orders
  • - Partake in the procurement process and assist the product development team, including working with suppliers both domestically and internationally

About This Role:

This is a full-time role. You will work closely with the Operations Lead, as well as the rest of the Bushbalm team as this role has many touch points. In this position, you'll be required to work in a fast-paced environment that will allow you to learn the in's and out's of the logistics of an e-commerce brand that is growing and launching new products.

Director of Product Development (CLOSED)

About This Role:

Our team is growing very fast and we are constantly working on improving our products. The structure of this role will include: 1) a research aspect; and 2) a development aspect. First, this role will work on sourcing ingredients, solutions and opportunities for future product lines. The research will be heavily based monitoring emerging skincare trends as well as creating unique trends. Second, a key element of this role will include the development and process of bringing our products to life. This role will work closely with our manufacturers and chemists to develop new and improved formulas as well as packaging layouts that satisfy both the consumer and our goal for sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • - Research and monitor emerging skincare trends
  • - Work with the marketing & branding team to identify the consumer’s wants and needs
  • - Identify and anticipate growing needs within future product formulations
  • - Source beneficial ingredients to improve the quality of current and/or future products
  • - Coordinate with manufacturers to identify strategies to improve new and existing packaging
  • - Research and evaluate the activity of competitors (including product launches, new collections and product formulas) to determine their impact on Bushbalm’s current product line
