Grooming Your Pubic Hair With An Electric Trimmer

When you have the right tools, like The Francesca for close grooming and pre-wax preparation, grooming your pubic hair is pretty simple. Follow these steps to get perfect results every time and prevent ingrown hairs.

Step 1: Select a fixed comb length on your Francesca trimmer

The right comb length on your body hair trimmer can help you tame full, natural growth that hasn’t been touched by a razor for a while – or ever. The Francesca comes with two guards for you to choose from. The custom trimmer guard gives you the optimal height for trimming your bikini line before waxing or shaving. The length of the guard also allows you to take down length bit by bit, reducing the risk of pulling as you trim.

Step 2: Add lubricant to your blade

Your Francesca comes with blade lubricant that should be applied every two weeks. Use a single drop on the trimmer blades while running. Leave lubricant on blades until next use and then wipe off excess with a dry cloth or paper towel. Regular lubrication ensures blades remain sharp and the trimmer is proving optimal performance.

Step 3: Trim your pubic hair

Trim your pubic hair found near your bikini line, on your legs, underarms, or anywhere else that needs trimming. Trimming the hair before shaving can help prevent clogged blades. If you go straight to work without a trim, you’ll notice your blade clogging more often, and you’ll require more rinsing to clear those clogs. Trimming will also prevent hairs from being pulled, reducing irritation and the risk of getting nicks and cuts. Nics and cuts can be super painful, and you will definitely want to pay close attention and avoid them when shaving sensitive areas.

Step 4: Shower and exfoliate to soften hair and make it easier to shave

Showering and using one of our exfoliating sugar body scrubs will help soften your pubic hair (which can be coarse and wirey). Applying one of our ingrown hair prevention oils daily will also work to soften both your skin and pubic hair, making it easier for Francesca to glide over your skin. Francesca is waterproof so you can trim in the shower. Trimming in the shower will help with clean-up, too. Hair will collect near the drain, so you can easily wipe away, or just wash it down.

Step 5: Get comfortable, and work with your skin

Create an even surface by pulling your groin skin taut with one hand and guiding your trimmer with the other. Francesca was made with ergonomic comfort in mind, making it easy to control where you trim.

Step 6: Rinse, Dry, and Moisturize

Rinse the area you trimmed. Immediately after that, apply Nude Ingrown Hair Treatment Oil, Sweet Escape Hydrating Oil, or Bermuda Oil and let it soak into your freshly groomed skin and hair. Moisturizing after shaving your pubic area is critical – it helps soothe the skin and prevent ingrown hairs.
